 Great introduction to antique maps August 20, 2006

This has been my first book on antique maps and I could hardy have had a better one. Now I have a lot of books on maps, a lot of them very good, but this continues to be a great starting point for information.

I cannot agree with a previous review. This is a comprehensive and well researched book which is the seminal book on maps and the first book you come across when entering the Map Room in the Royal Geographical Society. This is a must for anyone interested in or collecting old maps.
 I was thoroughly disappointed. I expected more from Moreland February 2, 1999
