Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Guide   December 7, 2007

This eyewitness guide is superb; I found it to be an excellent buy for a first trip to New York, particularly as it is organised into sections district by district, for example, with Central Park, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown etc. Each of these sections are introduced with a pictorial map indicating the locations of the sites worth visiting described on the following pages which are lavishly illustrated throughout with excellent photographs and drawings.
Useful practical information is included towards the back (including lists of accomodation, restaurants, music venues, bars as well as travel tips (a subway map is located on the final page)).
